Spring in Nova Scotia

Spring in Nova Scotia takes its time. While other parts of the country may be in full bloom, here it arrives a little later—but that just makes it all the more rewarding when it does.

By early April, you’ll start to notice spring blooms and bursts of colour after a long winter. Cherry blossoms in Halifax and blooming magnolias start to brighten neighbourhoods, streets and parks across the province.

It’s also a great time to take a hike—the cooler temperatures make it comfortable, and the views are just as stunning. Or slow things down with a visit to one of the many gardens in Nova Scotia, where you can wander among early spring flowers and take in the fresh air.
